Root River Festival

Every year the Root River Council creates a free event for the community to the Root River, enjoy family-fun entertainment, learn about what is going on environmentally in the community and much more! 

2020

Unfortunately due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 Root River Festival has been postponed until 2021.  Please check back with our Action and Events page future updates.

2019 


​Another success at the annual Root River Festival on Sunday August 25th from 12pm to 5pm at the REC.  The event featured booths from local environmental organizations, music, food, kayak and canoe rentals, and more.

2018

Held at Lincoln Park, Racine, Wisconsin. Over 50 organizations participated, nine varietal musical and artists' entertainment, a rubber duck derby, interfaith vocation, stunts by the Root River Roller Derby, horse carriage rides, local beer by Racine Brewery and R'Noggin Brewery, a 5K race by 5Kevents, educational presentations, kayak rentals, kids activities and more! 

2017

Held at Lincoln Park filled with musical entertainment thanks to Family Power Music, loads of environmental organizations, food trucks and kids activities. 

2016

Held at River Bend Nature Center. Thanks to all the environmental organizations that came to participate and the Case High School theater group for volunteering their time to face paint; and the musical and artist entertainment.
